Professor Robert Kajobe is a Research Professor and the Acting Dean Faculty of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences. He holds a PhD in Pollination and Bee Biology from Utrecht University, The Netherlands and a Master of Science in Beekeeping from the same University. He also holds a Master’s in Public Administration from Uganda Management Institute (UMI), Kampala and a Bachelor of Science in Forestry from Makerere University, Kampala, Uganda.  Before joining Muni University, Professor Kajobe worked at the National Agricultural Research Organization (NARO) in various capacities including being the founding Director of NARO’s Rwebitaba Zonal Agricultural Research and Development Institute (Rwebitaba ZARDI).
Professor Kajobe is a results-driven, self-motivated and resourceful academic with a proven ability to develop and strengthen teams in order to maximise outputs. He creates clear strategies for their successful completion. He is a highly innovative leader with extensive scientific background with proven ability to generate innovative agricultural technologies and offer technical expertise internationally. Professor Kajobe’s accomplished career reflects 20 years’ experience in research, agricultural policy analysis, leadership, human resources management, resource mobilisation and organisational development in universities, agricultural research organisations, NGOs and private sector.
He has excellent communication skills and is able to establish sustainable relationships with stakeholders across the world. He is also a skilled mentor and coach.
He has published over 18 Journal articles, 3 books and 4 book chapters.
