Three of Muni University Students; Kagame Thomas of Bachelor of Science in Information Technology Year Three, Emmanuel Byamugisha pursuing Bachelor of Information Systems Management year Two and Miss Asiimwe Desire of Bachelor of Information Systems Management Year Three, beat several contestants and made it to the top ten winners and traveled to China under the Huawei Seeds for Future program.

Huawei Seeds for Future Program involves competition among Public Universities in which students are required to write proposals on how to improve Uganda’s economy through various sectors which include Education, Health, Transport and Agriculture among others. Only 10 students are selected annually out of a number of students who compete from various universities.

This is the third year Students of Muni University have participated and won in this competition.Last year alone, four Students participated and made it to the top ten and travelled to china for high the tech training. Some of the activities during the travel include learning the Chinese language, how to configure 3, 4 and 5 Generation technology, visit to the exhibition hall in the Huawei headquarters to get exposed to the latest innovations.
