Muni University has successfully concluded its Second Annual Research and Dissemination Conference, bringing together researchers, academics and other participants from across Uganda and beyond to share scientific knowledge, showcase innovations and explore ways of translating research into practical solutions for sustainable development.

Muni University is one of five inaugural laureates of the AHEFT Prize, recognised in Accra for the Refugee and Host Community Youth Empowerment and Transformation Initiative (RETI), which has skilled more than 67,000 young people.

Vice President Jessica Alupo, representing President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, broke ground on the Government-funded hospital at the main campus in Arua City on 21 August 2026.

Physicists, students and researchers from Uganda, Africa, Japan and Italy met at Muni for five days of data-science training in space weather and ionospheric research.
